Why we chose chelated glycinate
We chose chelated glycinate for how it's absorbed and how gently it tends to sit with digestion. Magnesium glycinate is chelated: each magnesium ion is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. Research suggests a portion is taken up intact through amino-acid (dipeptide) transport in the small intestine, and that this form is generally well tolerated.63 Chelated organic forms like this one are well studied for their absorption and digestive tolerance.457 That's the whole idea behind Biomacell: a chelated glycinate form, with no added fillers.
