Why we chose chelated glycinate
Not all magnesium is absorbed equally. Inorganic forms such as magnesium oxide tend to be less well absorbed and less gentle on digestion than chelated organic forms.457 Magnesium glycinate is chelated: each magnesium ion is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. Research suggests a portion is taken up intact through amino-acid (dipeptide) transport in the small intestine, and that this form is generally well tolerated.63 That's the whole idea behind Biomacell: one clean, gently absorbed form, with no oxide blends and no fillers.
